How do I book a tour?

Do I need to pre-pay?
Yes – For the Battle of Britain Tour, all places need to be pre-booked prior to 5pm on Sunday as numbers need to be confirmed to the Stakeholders at this time. For the Flagship Tour, two months prior notice is usually required
Will I be sent a confirmation of my booking?
Absolutely yes – you will receive confirmation of your booking via the email address you supply when you book and pay.
Are the tours Covid safe?
Yes. All stakeholders involved in the tours have Covid-Secure Risk Management practices in place to manage the risks of Covid transmission. These are available on request.
Are the tours suitable for all age groups?
The tours are more suited to over 18’s because of the alcohol consumption at the Vineyards. However, young adults are usually enthused by the Battle of Britain Memorial experience when they realise that a significant number of ‘the Few’ were of a similar age !
Will I manage the walk to the vineyard at Terlingham?
The walk is approximately 500 yards. However, Jackie and Caroline at the vineyard can provide a ‘drive down’ service for those with mobility challenges. Please advise at the time of booking.
Will I be able to buy wine at the vineyards?
Yes! – and there is plenty of room in the minibus, which means you can buy as much wine as you like!
Is the Battle of Britain Tour for HPB Bondholders only?
Mainly yes! This has been designed as a bespoke trip for Bondholders, but on the odd occasion you may come across a friend or family member of the owner, if numbers allow.
What is the minimum/maximum number of people for each tour ?
Battle of Britain Tour – 10/22 people
Flagship Tour – 12/22 people
Unfortunately we can only run the tours with the minimum amount of people stated. Pre-payment will be refunded if the tour needs to be cancelled due to lack of numbers.
What is your cancellation policy?
For the Battle of Britain Tour you are able to cancel your reservation up to 5pm on the Friday before departure when you will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, for any cancellations received after this, a refund will not be available. For the Flagship Tour, one calendar month’s notice will be required. Pre-payment will be refunded immediately if the tour needs to be cancelled due to lack of numbers.
Will the tour go ahead if the weather is bad?
As we know the English weather can sometimes be a little temperamental, but yes, the tours will certainly continue. We advise you to dress appropriately with practical shoes and umbrellas if rain is in the forecast. Both venues have alternative plans in place if the weather is particularly bad. Only in exceptional weather circumstances will the tour be cancelled.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes – please provide detail at time of booking.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, EKVT and all other stakeholders carry significant levels of Public Liability cover.
Is the Flagship Tour available at weekends?
No – due to the popularity of the individual venues, the tour will only run on weekdays.
